After graduating from Howard University and completing his residency, Williams established a private practice in Los Angeles’ Central City area. Much of his practice was devoted to medical training and caring for the people in Watts and other communities that lacked health care access.
Williams served as an Interim President from 1989-1991, and was on the CDU Board of Trustees for a number of years. He instilled the importance of the University to his son, Bart, who also chaired the CDU board.
His legacy continues through the Henry S. Williams Scholarship Fund.[More CDU Stories]
